The Vintage 40 was born from a search for innovation and practicality in the world of chromatic mouth harmonics. Initially, it was designed with a Richter tuning, similar to the diatonic mouth harmonics of Blues, but with the difference of a scale variator, offering the possibility of playing semitones. It was then that, under the guidance of the respected Marcio Scialis, the Vintage 40 underwent a transformation and was reformulated to have all the characteristics of a true chromatic mouth harmonica, maintaining its arrangement of notes identical to the 48-voice models, but without the last two holes.
Compact and easy to handle, the Vintage 40 has won space for its ergonomic design and for being one of the smallest chromatics available. This makes it an excellent choice for players who are used to the size of diatonic instruments, but want to explore the world of chromatics without the barriers of a larger instrument.
