Play the 1847 NOBLE PT Gazell Model fully chromatically, without overblows. PT Gazell , SEYDEL endorser and master musician, is not only one of the most successful jazz harmonica players of his time, but also the creator of the “Gazell Method.” This method enables additional blow and draw bends through the half-valving of the diatonic harmonica, creating a completely new timbre.
What makes the Gazell Method unique? In each channel, the higher-pitched reed is valved. At the same time, instruments using the Gazell Method continue to follow the widely used Richter Tuning. This means that playing requires very little adjustment, but there are four new blow bends in channels 1, 2, 5, and 6, as well as three new draw bends in channels 7, 8, and 10. Overblows, which many players find difficult to intonate, are therefore no longer necessary, while the instrument remains chromatically playable.
Feel like PT Gazell when you play! This instrument perfectly matches the vision of the master of the half-valved harmonica and has been played by him in this configuration for years during rehearsals, in the studio, and on stage. It features the aluminum comb of the 1847 NOBLE, stainless steel reeds, specially developed valve material, and uniquely shaped coverplates - ergonomically designed and featuring the Gazell Method logo.
Furthermore, the 1847 NOBLE PT Gazell Model offers many of the familiar attributes of our 1847 harmonica family
full, overtone-rich sound thanks to the unique stainless steel reeds
quick response and low air consumption thanks to precision fine-cutting technology for the channels in the reed plate
100% corrosion-free thanks to the use of stainless steel for the reeds, coverplates, screws, rivets, and German silver reedplates
sturdy and precisely manufactured comb made of black anodized aluminum
The 1847 NOBLE PT Gazell Model is an instrument that stands out both for its technical features and its truly unique look. Feel like PT Gazell and give your melodies a very special sound!
